Electrician

Liskeard Full-Time No home office possible

OverviewElectrician – Cornwall operational, Commercial – Renewables projects. Permanent position with a salary of £38,000 – £42,000, van, tools and fuel card. A great opportunity to start a permanent operational role as a commercial electrician.

Worklists may vary from site to site. Plan, oversee, install and commission commercial on‐site renewable energy and energy efficient systems. Working with a team (or teams) installing and possibly managing the installation and integration of renewable energy systems into commercial properties including:

Solar PV

Ground and air source heat pumps

EV chargers

Energy storage systems

Day to day:

Installing and commissioning electrical systems.

Running cables.

Working with inverters.

Communicating and working with design team, project managers and programming installation works.

Running smaller jobs independently.

Undertaking risk assessments to ensure safety.

Liaising with clients, other members of staff or subcontractors on site.

Maintaining a safe working environment.

Bringing any risks to the attention of company management.

Completing all necessary job sheets, timesheets and other documentation as required.

Taking responsibility for tools and equipment issued by the company.

Requirements

A driving licence is essential to this role.

Provided with a company van and fuel card.

NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 (18th Edition).

JIB/ECS/CSCS card.

2391 test and inspection (preferable but not essential).

AM2 (preferable but not essential).

Previous experience as an electrician – essential.

Previous experience within the renewables sector – essential.

Good timekeeping.

Good at dealing with clients.

Conduct one\’s self professionally at all times.

Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
