We are seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Supervisor to oversee and manage structured cabling installations on high-profile Data Centre projects in London, UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structured cabling, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the installation of structured cabling systems (Cat6, Cat6a, Fibre Optics) in a Data Centre/ Telecomms environment.
- Lead a team of cabling engineers and technicians, ensuring work is completed on time and to specification.
- Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and method statements to ensure compliance with health & safety and industry standards.
- Ensure all cable routing, termination, and testing is performed according to best practices.
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to coordinate workflows and resolve any technical issues.
- Conduct quality control checks, ensuring cabling installations meet client and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for all structured cabling work.
- Ensure full compliance with Data Centre security and operational procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Structured Cabling Supervisor in a Data Centre/ Telecomms environment (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of cable installation, termination, and testing for Copper & Fibre networks.
- Experience with structured cabling infrastructure including containment systems, patching, and labelling.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, and BS EN.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and manage teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and site compliance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and cabling schematics.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CNCI, BICSI, CSCS, ECS) are advantageous.
- Right to work in the UK is required.
