We are currently working with a leading electrical wholesaler, who are actively searching for a class 2 driver to join their night team on a full time permanent basis. This position is available as a temp to perm, giving you the opportunity to get a taster for the job, before committing.
In this role, you will be expected to work Monday to Friday, with various start times available from 6pm onwards each evening. Overtime is paid daily at an increased rate of time and a half.
As a class 2 night driver, your task will involve completing a number of palletised deliveries to other depots and distribution centres, using a pump truck and tail lift to offload goods safely. Occasionally, some handball may be required to deliver individual lengths of plastic or metal; full training will be provided from day one.
Due to the nature of the shift times, you will often be responsible for opening and shutting depots independently, in order to complete deliveries.
To be considered for this full time driving vacancy, applicants must be at least 21 years old and have held their class 2 HGV driving licence for a minimum of 2 years. This role is available immediately, so apply now or call Driver Hire today.
