I'm partnering with a global leader looking to appoint an experienced Finance Project Manager to join them on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering strategic finance initiatives that directly impact the effectiveness and future-readiness of a major UK-based organisation. This is a highly collaborative role, perfect for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and monitor progress across a diverse finance project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Work closely with project leads to identify risks, resolve blockers, and keep projects on track
- Provide hands-on support to 'troubled' projects and bring them back on course
- Produce bi-weekly progress reports and support stakeholder communications
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and keep templates up to date
- Assist in developing and delivering effective internal communication strategies
- Collaborate with the central PMO function and act as a key contact for finance project queries
- Support IT resource planning related to finance initiatives
- Step in to cover for the Finance PMO Manager when needed, ensuring continuity across all live projects
- Strong project management experience in a professional services or corporate environment
- PRINCE2 Practitioner certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Planner, and Loop
- A methodical and proactive approach to managing workloads and competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
- A flexible and adaptable mindset, able to respond to evolving business needs
