Empowering Learning have fantastic opportunities for level 3 Nursery Nurses to join a well-established nursery based in Islington, North East London. If you have experience of working in a nursery and hold a qualification in childcare, we would love to hear from you.

Person Specification:

  • Childcare qualification up to level 3
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and aware of the 7 different areas of learning and development
  • Paediatric First Aid is desirable

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children's learning in a safe, secure environment.
  • Building positive relationships with parents
  • Working with EYFS curriculum and planning age-appropriate activities.
  • Key worker responsibilities, keeping of development records and observations.
  • Preparation, care, cleanliness and maintenance of the playrooms and equipment.
  • Accurately completing nursery documentation to include accident, medication, and risk assessment records.
  • Supporting children at mealtimes and with personal care.
  • Participating in staff meetings, parent evenings, and children's outings.
  • Must be flexible to work shift hours (from 8am-6pm)
