We’re looking for a Senior Scientific Director to play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping scientific content, guiding client relationships, and delivering innovative solutions across a wide range of therapeutic areas.
About the Role:
As a Senior Scientific Director, you will lead and inspire a talented scientific team, providing expert guidance across a diverse portfolio of medical communication projects. You'll be a key player in the leadership team, helping to steer strategy, build strong client partnerships, and maintain high editorial standards. Your role will also involve driving business growth, managing financial performance, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as the scientific lead across multiple complex accounts.
- Develop and deliver a variety of high-impact materials (e.g., slide decks, publications, digital assets, abstracts, and meeting summaries).
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients and external experts.
- Provide strategic, scientific, and editorial counsel to clients and internal teams.
- Lead workshops and scientific discussions with healthcare professionals (HCPs).
- Ensure scientific deliverables align with strategic goals and maintain high editorial standards.
- Maintain deep and evolving expertise in multiple therapy areas.
- Track developments in the medical communications landscape and proactively provide clients with fresh, forward-thinking strategies.
- Translate complex data into compelling narratives tailored to different audiences.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
- Drive the scientific and strategic direction of proposals and pitches.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop tailored, high-impact proposals.
- Mentor, train, and develop a growing team of scientific writers and leaders.
- Manage recruitment, performance, and career progression of direct reports.

Who You Are:
- Hold an advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD or equivalent).
- Bring significant experience in medical communications, including leadership roles.
- Have proven experience guiding cross-functional teams and building client relationships.
- Are an exceptional communicator, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for scientific accuracy and clarity.
- Possess deep understanding of compliance and industry standards.
