South East London - Local 7.5 Tonne Driver/Warehouse Operator needed, permanently. Leading catering equipment and furniture hire company seeking a reliable and organised 7.5 Tonne Lorry Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

You will be working in partnership with a van assistant to deliver and collect goods efficiently and safely from London and surroundings (~ 6-9 deliveries per day).

Duties:

  • Reviewing pre-planned routes each morning
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Checking if equipment loaded is safe and secured
  • Ensuring that all necessary documentation is included with the order
  • Delivering/collecting equipment
  • Inspecting equipment for any physical damage when collecting
  • Making sure all the items are being collected
  • Interacting with clients in a polite manner
  • Reporting all delivery-related problems to management
  • Daily vehicle checks and reporting them to your Line Manager
  • Keeping vehicles clean and tidy
  • Assisting with warehouse tasks as needed
  • Organising inventory
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

  • Valid 7.5 Tonne driving license (C1)
  • Experience driving a 7.5 Tonne vehicle
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical fitness and organisational skills to handle warehouse tasks
