Job Description
A well known restaurant business is looking to recruit an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified candidate to join as Head of Finance for one of its brands.
Main duties include:
· Own the end-to-end monthly management accounts process for the brand — including timely P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting, robust balance sheet reconciliations, and a well-controlled month-end close aligned with Group deadlines.
· Manage day-to-day cashflow and working capital, flagging risks and supporting spend decisions
· Maintain and report on site-level capex schedules, ensuring transparency and alignment with Group
· Lead and support the development of 2 juniors
· Ensure audit readiness and compliance with Group financial policies and internal control frameworks
· Act as the lead finance business partner to the Brand MD and Ops Director
· Lead annual budgeting and reforecasting across P&L, labour, site contribution, variable costs and capex
· Provide weekly and monthly performance insights, surfacing risks and opportunities across trading, margins, and cost control
· Own labour cost forecasting, rota modelling, tronc planning and related analysis – ensuring fairness, clarity and operational alignment
· Provide decision support on promotions, pricing, menu engineering, operating models and new openings
You’ll work closely with the MD, Operations Director, and other senior stakeholders.Â
You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with experience in both reporting and commercial finance. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
