To work for the leading independent full fibre platform as they continue to revolutionise the UK’s digital infrastructure. Over the last 12 months they have really accelerated their growth through both organic and market lead consolidations and mergers and now they are seeking a visionary Director of NOC on an interim basis to lead their Network Operations Centre (NOC) through a period of strong transformation and innovation as they continue to onboard new partners.

Ideally you will have been in this situation before and have rolled out the three cornerstones of any high performing NOC:

  • Process
  • Tooling and system capability
  • Effective resourcing by accelerating the technology roadmap

As the interim Director of Network Operations, you’ll:

  • Lead and evolve their 24/7 NOC to deliver world-class network performance and reliability.
  • Drive strategic initiatives aligned with their growth plans.
  • Champion innovation through automation, AI/ML, and predictive analytics.
  • Serve as the executive escalation point for major incidents and crisis management.
  • Collaborate across engineering, service delivery, and commercial teams to ensure operational excellence.
  • Ensure that the maturity of the NOC is fit for purpose as they rapidly grow.
  • Increase the maturity of the centre.
  • Increase capacity management and implement a risk management framework.

Experience:

  • 15+ years in senior leadership roles within telecoms or network operations.
  • Proven success in transformation, integration, and large-scale project delivery.
  • Deep technical expertise in fibre infrastructure, IP networking, and cloud systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
