50 Sport is a multi-award winning creative and social media agency in sponsorship and sport. Our mission is to be the ultimate partner for rights holders and brands to win by building emotional connections through storytelling for a number of clients in sponsorship and sport.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Head of Operations who will work closely with the Co-Founders and Senior Management Team to ensure smooth running of all central functions of the agency. The Head of Operations will oversee Finance, HR, Resourcing, Facilities, IT and Office support. The responsibilities will include formulating business strategy that contributes to the agency growth, managing people and operations to optimise the employee experience and maximising efficiencies across everything we do in the business.

Following a new client introduction, the ideal candidate will have experience expanding internationally, recruiting talent across Europe. Experience and knowledge incorporating AI into agency operations is also preferred. We anticipate the role being hands on and reactive to change; the Head of Operations needs to be multifaceted in their skill set and approach. No problem is too big or too small.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations: Oversee the organisation of teams and the set up of new international markets. Lead AI implementation across the agency and ensure best in class efficiencies and processes. Manage all external suppliers for the agency and negotiate contracts in advance.
  • Finance: Oversee the finance team and manage their business communications. Provide commercial support, strategic analysis and decision support to the Co-founders, CFO and the rest of the Senior Management Team.
  • HR: Oversee external HR consultants and Talent Manager within the agency. Act as senior HR voice for any issues that need raising with leaders.
  • Resourcing: Line manager to Resource Manager who is responsible for agency resourcing. Governance and direction for all resourcing and linking with finance. Resource support for holiday cover. Senior contact with Paprika (finance and resource tool).
  • Facilities and IT: Line manager to the Operations and IT Manager. Governance and optimisation.
  • Process and Logistics: Key responsibilities for working with all department leads to ensure smooth running across the agency and support where there may be operational challenges. Suggestions on optimisation and ways of working to enhance overall agency operations.

About You:

  • Solid experience in an Operations or Central Functions role, ideally in an agency environment.
  • Strong background in understanding agency finance and resource.
  • Proven experience in change optimisation and successful roll out.
  • Strong leader with proven line management skills.
  • A team player and confident working with senior management.
  • Proactive, positive, can-do approach, willing to get stuck in with any task and able to direct and motivate the team around them.
  • Effective communication in verbal or written form, professionally and transparently.
  • Flexible, demonstrating strong time management skills, ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and accommodating last minute requests.
  • Self-sufficient, highly organised and able to work independently in a fast-paced social media environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An interest in sports and social media (and in emerging technologies).
