About Our Client

A leading healthcare charity, providing research, treatment and support for those affected.

Job Description

  1. You’ll be responsible for protecting the organisation’s reputation through due diligence around brand partnerships, including celebrity and influencer relationships, using crisis management experience where needed.
  2. Be accountable for the integrated communications calendar, ensuring telling audiences a clear, consistent and compelling story through all comms.
  3. Develop and implement a long-term audience strategy to drive growth and diversification, working closely with the wider comms directorate.
  4. Drive work that continuously builds on audience knowledge understanding, enabling charity to drive engagement through the funnel. Support the Deputy Director of Communications to embed an audience-centric approach across the organisation.
  5. Lead the team that will develop and deliver top of funnel, audience-led communications and campaigns that help achieve highly ambitious awareness and reach targets.
  6. Own prospect audience segmentation, using it to inform brand strategy and communications planning, ensuring charity are constantly keeping it fresh by learning from audience behaviours.
  7. Building on the successful rebrand of 2020, deliver an impactful brand evolution and associated marketing campaign to drive ambitious profile growth amongst people affected.
  8. Develop and implement a content strategy championing a consistent and compelling way to tell brand story that drives impact and engagement.
  9. Develop and own processes to enable strategic alignment between all marketing, comms and policy campaigning, and fundraising.
  10. Guide marketing plans that deliver against strategic objectives and ensure coherence and integration between the Mass Marketing and Brand and Communications teams.

The Successful Applicant

  1. In-depth knowledge and experience of strategy and integrated planning, with evidence of developing and delivering integrated strategies that achieve significant audience penetration and growth.
  2. Experience of delivering impactful brand strategy and campaigns that deliver results.
  3. Significant experience of planning multi-channel, data-driven marketing and communications (including media buying) that delivers impact in reach and activation amongst consumer and professional audiences.
  4. Excellent crisis management skills and experience.
  5. Awareness of principles of content design and development of content across a range of different channels (including offline and online) to meet audience needs.
  6. Keen analytical skills with the ability to predict results as well as respond to performance and report accordingly.
  7. Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to influence and motivate teams.
