About The Role
Our busy Administration department has a new permanent opportunity for a Senior Bookings Administrator to join the fun, focused team, based at our Emersons Green hospital, Bristol.

You will be assisting in leading a professional and patient focused booking and administration service, answering calls from patients, carers, GP surgeries and other hospitals regarding patient admissions and referral letters.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Patient Booking Lead, you the Senior Bookings Administrator, will be supporting the clinical teams and our patients by ensuring the effective occupying and accommodating availability for varied consultations, assessments, treatments and theatre sessions along with your team. You’ll be tasked with monitoring KPIs ensuring they are met, ensuring where possible the capacity of booking and seeking to fill unfilled availability through the bookings team. It will be your responsibility to notice the outpatient departments and the theatre capacity, informing the Patient Booking Lead of any shortfall. In this, you will encourage the team to play a patient focused and supportive role, by keeping in contact with patients on waiting lists to offer earlier or newly available appointments, contacting them prior to their appointment to set their expectations. You will be monitoring status of referrals and prioritise with the Bookings Team daily to ensure KPIs for booking appointments and received referrals are met.
What we’ll look for in you
This position will suit someone coming from a strong patient related administration background, an effective communicator at all levels both written and verbal and will be PC literate, being familiar with MS Office tools. Will be a focused individual with great attention to detail, able to multi-task and prioritise effectively. You will be a strong team player, experienced with supporting, guiding and leading others.
