The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Networking Architect with a strong focus on AWS cloud services and networking. As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for driving cloud networking strategies, specifically transitioning from Direct Connect to Transit Peering within an AWS environment. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of core AWS networking services and a solid grounding in networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and routing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience on projects, providing strategic architectural direction.
- Cloud Networking Expertise: Strong expertise in cloud networking, especially in transitioning from AWS Direct Connect to Transit Peering, with a solid understanding of AWS VPCs, subnets, EC2, Lambda, S3, Route 53, and VPC Endpoints.
- Networking Fundamentals: In-depth understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, routing), proxy patterns, and related technologies.
- AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
Requirements:
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-region architecture.
- Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools for AWS environments.
