Job Title: Fire Alarm and Security Service Engineer Location: M4 Corridor and Surrounding Areas Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 (depending on experience) Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm and Security Service Engineer to join our team. This exciting opportunity involves installation, maintenance, and commissioning of fire alarms, emergency lighting, and associated systems. You will be responsible for servicing, repairs, and fault finding on a wide range of fire and security systems for commercial, industrial, and public sector customers. Key Responsibilities: * Regular servicing & repairs of fire alarms and associated systems * Commissioning of fire alarm systems and other associated systems * Reactive calls and repairs to ensure high first-time fix rates * Completing detailed and accurate reports using app technology * Maintaining high standards of company documentation * Undertaking On-Call duties on a 1 in 6 rota Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have: * Minimum 3 years’ experience with fire alarm systems and associated systems * Full valid driving license * Strong understanding of relevant British Standards, especially servicing, maintenance, and commissioning * Experience in cause and effect programming * Excellent customer service skills * Ability to complete and maintain customer and company paperwork in a timely manner * Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team * Strong oral and written communication skills * Prepared to travel as required * A genuine interest in your work with a willingness to learn and progress * Experience with Gent and Advanced systems is beneficial * Multi-skilled fire and security engineer experience is an advantage Types of Customers: * Commercial properties * Industrial sites * Public sector buildings * Offices * Schools * Housing associations Call-Out Rota: * 1 week in 6 Overtime Rate: * Time and a half for overtime Training and Career Development: * Training courses are provided on systems such as GENT and Notifier. * Career development and progression opportunities are available.
