The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Site Engineer required for 6 months on groundworks project in Stourbridge. Site Engineer will be required to set out for bolts, bases, drainage, utilities, slab, RC foundations, S278, sewers and externals. The project is a new build testing facility. Site Engineer will preferably supply own kit and will have laptop and CAD package.
Site Engineer role:
- Setting out and quality checks for structural steelwork, RC works, drainage works, underpinning, earthworks and excavations, groundworks
- Check setting out information
- Establish primary and secondary dimensional control
- Check and record control points
- Complete Permit to Load/Strike
- Requisition materials for in situ concrete works and obtain approvals
- Supervise concrete deliveries including pre and post-pour inspections
- Maintain site diary including maintaining good housekeeping on site
- Manage and co-ordinate construction of all structural elements
- Set out and maintain structural accuracy and main and internal gridlines including levels
- Implement the Project Management Plan, engineering procedures and practices
- Ensure that appropriate quality records are being produced
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Compilation of as-built drawings and create construction drawings for information
- Experience with AutoCad and Total Station
- Compilation of QA sheets for sub and super structural elements
- Advise on buildability issues as required
- Assist to prepare scope of works and reports as required
- Carry out site surveys, levelling and setting out
- Working out cut and fill quantities
- Managing subcontractors, Cut and Fill/Groundworker/RC/Steel including checking QA
All applicants MUST have a valid CSCS card, have previous experience in groundworks and earthworks and be able to provide two recent references.
