Exciting Job Opportunity: Steel Fixers / Platers Location:Norfolk, Virginia. Contract Duration:8-Month Contract (starting January 2025) Potential for extension upon successful project completion. Job Information: Join our team to work on structural steel modules weighing between 40-70 tonnes. Your tasks will include shaking out and separating steel pieces, then assembling them according to detailed drawings. Components will include beams, channels, handrails, and more, with assembly involving bolted connections. Once completed, these modules will be shipped to a Naval base. Key Details: Start Date:January 2025. Working Hours:Minimum 50 hours per week, 6 days per week (Sunday off). Compensation: Hourly Rate: 44.86 US Dollars per hour for the first 40 hours. 57.86 US Dollars per hour for overtime (hours over 40). Sunday rate (TBC). Per Diem:103.00 US Dollars per day for accommodation and travel expenses. Payroll:Weekly through our American office. Additional Benefits: Rotation Schedule:12/2 rotation with the option to fly home every 12 weeks. Visa Requirements: Valid UK/Irish Passport. ACRO background check (Police Certificate). Attendance at a US Visa appointment in Dublin or London. Qualifications and Requirements: Certification:NVQ or City and Guilds in relevant trade.
