School Staffing Solutions are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work in a independent special needs school, located in Lyndhurst, Hampshire – a beautiful setting in the heart of the New Forest. * Monday to Friday term time only * Hours between (phone number removed)pm with early finish on a Friday * Lyndhurst: New Forest, Hampshire * Own Transport is preferred due to location * This location is accessible if you dont drive from Lymmington, brockenhurst and Totton * £85-£95 per day- when on contract £19,500 -£20,200 per annum As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting some of the most vulnerable children in society. These children have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, and ADHD so we need staff who are kind, caring and also emotional resilient. You will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the students with their work. You will be expected to build positive relationships with students so you can help enagge them in their learning, acting as a positive role model and responding to individual needs. About you * GCSE Maths and English Level 4/Grade C * Ideally have previous experience supporting children and young people * Be good at building rapport and positive relationships with young people. * Ideally experience working with challenging behaviour and/or SEN * Ideally have a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) Teaching Assistant qualification * Good sense of humour We will consider candidates with other work experience as long as you can demonstrate the following: * Resilience * Communication * Organisation * Caring As long as you can demonstrate the values needed for a role, transferable skills and life experience, the school will give you all the training and support you need to progress!
