We\’re on the lookout for a driven and experienced Venue Account Executive to help power our next phase of growth. Step into a role where your impact truly matters. This is your chance to be part of a company with a standout culture and a bold mission to reshape the events industry through creativity, innovation, and shared success.

The Role

Working alongside our Head of Growth, you will take ownership of three key areas: Key Account Management, Partnerships, and our Concierge service.

You’ll take full ownership of our Concierge service—handling a mixture of inbound enquiries and proactively sourced leads. You’ll match briefs with the perfect venue, ensuring a seamless experience from enquiry to hire. Your main focus will be harvesting potential corporate and event production clients to book through you. You’ll also help shape this service from the ground up, with the goal of building a dedicated team as we grow.

You’ll lead our Partnerships strategy—building relationships with the UK’s leading event production companies, PR agencies, and corporates. Your goal is to ensure Canvas is these clients’ go-to option whenever they’re sourcing venues. You’ll be proactive, well-connected, and a natural at spotting opportunities to collaborate.

Lastly as the Account Executive for a key portfolio of our venues, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring they’re fully optimised on our platform and converting their event leads into bookings. You’ll build strong relationships with these clients, guiding them through onboarding and regular performance reviews to ensure they’re getting real, measurable value from Canvas.

Tasks in Detail

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts—onboarding, optimising, and driving bookings—while ensuring consistent performance and value from the platform.
  • Respond to high-value event briefs with expert venue recommendations that convert into confirmed hires.
  • Personally manage the full venue-matching process—from brief to booking—including site visits and handover.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with production companies, PR agencies, and corporate clients to drive repeat briefs.
  • Track every brief and client interaction to ensure clear follow-ups and accurate reporting.
  • Represent Canvas at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to grow awareness of our service.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Customer Success and Marketing teams to identify upsell opportunities for subscriptions and marketing add-ons.
  • Proactively generate new leads and event enquiries by nurturing your network and expanding partnerships.
  • Own a revenue target and help build out the service, with a view to expanding into a wider team.
  • Take ownership of projects to scale this service – think of ways to incentivise clients to book through us again and again e.g. rewards, points-based system, discounts etc.
  • You will essentially be building a business within a business so taking on responsibility for marketing this is crucial – reviews and testimonials from clients are a must.

More About You

  • 2+ years of experience in venue finding, sales, account management, or a similar events role. A degree in event management is a bonus, but not essential.
  • Ideally you have an existing network of event booker and industry contacts (not essential).
  • Good knowledge of London venues.
  • Commercially minded, target-driven, and thrive on hitting KPIs and driving revenue.
  • Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with stakeholders—from venue teams to production companies and corporate clients.
  • Self-motivated, highly organised, and detail-oriented.
  • Growth mindset – keen to lead projects, take initiative, and keep learning as the role evolves.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Good collaborator and team player.
  • Ambitious and excited about personal development—including working closely with a business coach to grow your skills.
  • Confident using a CRM system – Hubspot or Monday ideally.

Application Stages

  • Apply through LinkedIn. If we think your skills/experience/vibe match what we are looking for, we will reach out
  • We\’ll ask you to send us a video, Introducing yourself, why you’re an excellent fit for the role and giving two truths & a lie
  • In person interview (in office) with Head of Growth & Co-founder
  • Final interview with full team.

We\’re a small team and therefore unable to get back to everyone individually at stage 1. We\’ll ensure we provide feedback to applicants at every stage after.
