An opportunity has arisen for a paralegal to join our team dealing with a range of Civil Litigation working closely with our Litigation Partner Mark Newby. The position offers experience in a range of work which includes:
- Boundary Claims
- Company and Commercial Litigation
- Debt Recovery Work
- Inquest Work
- Judicial Review Work
- Landlord & Tenant Work
- Probate Disputes
- Professional Negligence Cases
- Property Cases
- Tolata Claims
Whilst this role is a Dispute Resolution appointment, we also work in the field of Family Work and Criminal Law which may offer some linked litigation work and experience. We have consistent experience in acting in complex and high profile cases both locally and nationally including all levels up to and including the Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights.
We are looking for a motivated individual who wants to make a career as a litigator. You will be:

- Confident, able to encourage debtors by telephone to make payments or act as a strong advocate for our clients
- Focussed and determined to build your career
- Have excellent IT and Communications skills
We offer sound training to enable you to advance your career, flexible working policies in conjunction with a positive working environment. The right person has the possibility to advance within the firm in the future once proving their worth. Candidates are likely to have proven experience or other experience which demonstrates suitability. We are looking for a candidate that has some prior litigation experience. We would expect you to be committed to practice in person in South Yorkshire and this position would not be suitable for someone who does not have any local links as experience suggests moving away from home can be counterproductive to successful employment.
Proposed starting Salary £18,000 - £25,000 per annum subject to negotiation depending on experience. All other terms to be agreed with the right candidate. We would also consider an application for a more Senior Litigator on terms to be agreed.
