We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Site Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the on-site delivery of social housing refurbishment projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of refurbishment projects, including both internal and external works, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Lead and manage the site team, including subcontractors and suppliers, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor project progress against the programme, reporting regularly to senior management and identifying any potential risks or delays.
- Manage site logistics, including deliveries, materials handling, and waste management, to ensure efficient site operations.
- Liaise with the client, residents, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent communication and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Lead and contribute to toolbox talks and site inductions, ensuring all personnel are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, risk assessments, method statements, and H&S documentation.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the social housing refurbishment sector, ideally with both internal and external works.
- Knowledge of construction processes, standards, and regulations specific to social housing projects.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, residents, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- A solid understanding of health and safety regulations, with experience managing safe site operations.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalent.
- Asbestos Awareness and Scaffolding Awareness training.
- CSCS card and First Aid certification.
