My client in the Bury area are looking for experienced Commercial Body Builders.
Duties of the Role:
- Under general supervision, performs skilled work during the manufacture/build of trailer and trailer bodies to ensure the safe and efficient operation of fixtures, apparatus, and other elements in the factory area.
- Work involves fitting body components to panels and assembled trailer bodies. The parts may be attached by bonding or by mechanical fasteners.
- Use tools and equipment used in trailer bodybuilding.
- General knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skill in the use and care of hand and power tools and equipment necessary to prepare, fit and fasten body components.
- Ability to perform manual labour for extended periods of time as required by work assignments.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good manual dexterity requires the ability to handle a variety of items such as hand tools.
- Experience in the manufacture of trailers is desirable but not essential.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
- Be able to maintain and repair associated adhesive and fastener equipment.
- Ability to apply specified bonding procedures.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the manufacture of trailers and trailer bodies.
- Experience in body repairs.
- Experience in chassis repairs after accident damage.
- Experience in refurb of old trailers.
