Financial Controller

CMA Recruitment Group have been approached by a growing acquisitive group based in Fareham is looking to appoint an Interim Financial Controller to support its finance function through a key transitional period. Following a recent round of investment and a rapid expansion programme, the group has tripled in size and is now focused on embedding consistency and control across its finance operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to an experienced finance professional who thrives in a change environment and can bring structure to a fast-evolving business. The company has an ambitious growth plan and a dynamic, collaborative culture , ideal for someone who enjoys making an impact from day one. The assignment should last between 4-6 months.

What will the Interim Financial Controller role involve?

• Lead and mentor a sizeable finance team through a period of transformation
• Drive consistency in reporting, controls and processes across newly integrated entities
• Support post-acquisition integration work and help align finance practices across the group
• Deliver improved financial visibility and robustness for key stakeholders
• Act as a key point of contact for senior leadership and external advisors
• Oversee statutory, management and commercial reporting requirements

Suitable Candidate for the Interim Financial Controller vacancy:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven background in change environments, ideally involving M&A or rapid growth
• Strong team management experience, with a calm and steady leadership style
• Confident working at pace and navigating ambiguity during times of change
• Comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery
