A leading high-end main contractor that covers a diverse range of exclusive luxury residential and commercial projects across London has a great opportunity for a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis, working on their commercial / retail fit out projects in Central London.
The company has been operating for over 20 years and has built an excellent portfolio of clients, covering a number of London’s most diverse and exclusive high-end residential and retail projects. Due to the quality of their work, they continuously secure repeat business and have forged long-standing relationships with a number of key clients.
They are looking for a Project Manager to work within their commercial and retail fit out division, managing fast-paced and quick turnaround projects from inception through to completion, up to £1m in value. The Project Manager will need to have a strong track record working in this sector and in live retail environments.
Responsibilities:
Managing time, cost, and quality of projects in the commercial and retail environments, planning and coordinating all aspects of the construction process, working closely with client stakeholders, architects, and designers including procuring sub-contractors and packages of work, overseeing and directing the site management and labour teams on each project ensuring adherence to regulations and programme.
Project Manager Requirements:
- Ideally Degree qualified or equivalent Construction / Project qualifications
- Experience working for a reputable Main Contractor
- Track record working on fast-paced commercial and retail fit-out projects up to £1m in value in live retail environments
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Good problem-solving skills when faced with challenges or complexity
- Working knowledge of MS Project, Asta or similar project management software
- A team player with leadership abilities, creating an environment of teamwork and willingness to help others
- Happy to work in Central London and occasionally in their offices in Hertfordshire
