Morwell Talent Solutions is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for 2 x Accounts Assistant’s to join our client’s Business Services company based in Newport. The roles are being offered on a 3-month fixed term contract basis initially due to an increase in workload, however they may be extended for the successful candidates. You will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department by managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial records and assisting in the effective management of accounts payable and receivable functions. It is vital that you have worked within a similar role previously and have had exposure of working in a busy accounts department. If you are detail-oriented, organised, and possess a passion for finance, this may be the perfect opportunity for you. Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role Background in Engineering is preferable Solid understanding of the purchase and sales ledger invoicing Dealing with statement reconciliations and supplier queries Processing payments Familiarity with accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel) as there will be lots of spreadsheet work Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders Willing to support the team and happy to help with any task no matter how big or small it may be This position offers a competitive salary of £24,950 (pro rata over the 3 months) and the chance to work within a supportive and friendly finance team. Hours are Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week however, our client is prepared to be flexible with start / finish times. These roles will be office based, and on-site parking is available. Due to location, ideally you will need to be a car driver.
