About the role

As a key member of the Global IT Infrastructure department, the Senior Modern Workplace Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud-based technologies supporting approximately 100,000 users worldwide. This role requires expertise in cloud migration strategies, especially leading migrations of on-premises workloads to Microsoft Azure using tools like Azure Migrate and DRMigrate. The candidate should be skilled in designing and implementing scalable, secure cloud solutions aligned with organizational needs and security standards.

Reporting to the Modern Workplace Manager, you will champion cloud services, ensuring seamless delivery to business customers. The role involves planning, analyzing, designing, testing, and deploying enterprise-scale Cloud, IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS solutions. This is a global position supporting Cognita\’s schools and operations around the world.

Who we are looking for

Candidates should have a relevant degree or Microsoft certification and proven experience with Microsoft Azure and Modern Workplace, particularly in executing on-premises to Azure migration projects. Essential skills include:

• Strong expertise in Microsoft cloud services, including Azure and Microsoft 365
• Experience leading on-premises workload migrations to Azure using tools like Azure Migrate
• Problem-solving skills and troubleshooting ability
• Self-organization and workload management skills
