JOB – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION – Manchester TERM – Permanent SALARY – £45,000 – £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client designs and delivers fire services to commercial and domestic clients. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Manchester on a permanent basis. The Fire & Security Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar ideally in Mechanical Engineering At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role would be preferred 3D CAD Design Experience in the fire industry Mechanical / electrical Installation experience would be beneficial Be a hands-on, practical engineer Excellent communication and customer service skills Be a team player with a positive attitude Be a mentor to junior/graduate engineers Have a full UK driving licence  The Fire & Security Engineer role will involve: Hands-on servicing, installation and maintenance of fire and security systems Mechanical fault-finding and repairs Working within a small team to deliver a quality service to customers Travelling to and from customer sites for around 2 hours a day Occasional further travel in the UK e.g. to Scotland or Wales  If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
