My client are seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager (Twilight) to lead our night operations at our Sheffield facility. This is a key leadership role within our logistics function, responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and safe dispatch of goods in line with company standards and customer expectations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of the night shift dispatch process. You will oversee a team of warehouse operatives and drivers, coordinate outbound logistics activity, and ensure the smooth running of night operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities – Dispatch Manager (Twilight)

Manage and lead the night shift dispatch team to meet daily KPIs and service levels
Ensure accurate and timely dispatch of goods in accordance with customer and carrier requirements
Maintain compliance with health and safety policies and standard operating procedures
Monitor team productivity and provide coaching, development, and support as needed
Liaise with internal departments and transport providers to ensure alignment and efficiency
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activity and generate regular performance reports

Candidate Profile

Proven experience in a dispatch, warehouse, or logistics distribution and supply chain leadership role
Strong people management skills with a track record of leading effective teams
Excellent organisational and communication abilities
Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions under pressure
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and dispatch processes
FLT licence and/or experience with transport coordination is advantageous but not essential
