The Role: Integrate Engineering Resources is currently recruiting for a Design Engineer on behalf of our client for a permanent role based from Hereford. The main purpose of this role is to work alongside the contracts team and work with 3D Solidworks/Auto Cad and to produce detailed engineering designs and drawings for manufacture.
Duties:
- To develop and verify designs, you will be expected to prepare drawings ready for manufacture.
- To support the design and development for testing, specify components for the purpose of procurement.
- To ensure that products are developed to achieve compliance with design objectives and specifications, by liaising with clients and consultants.
- Resolving manufacturing issues in the early stages of product design and development by liaising with internal departments.
- Responsible for 2D and 3D modelling and drawings that meet customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate content in drawing registers.
- Supporting the development of new products.
Requirements:
- Good eye for detail and knowledge of manufacturing techniques to ensure accurate drawings.
- Proven experience for developing products in relevant environment.
- Ability to develop designs within a constantly evolving technology.
- Proven ability of being self-motivated and able to remain calm and professional in a busy working environment.
- Ability to work on own initiative with excellent organisation, time management and planning skills.
- Must be confident on Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
- To build good relationships with all colleagues and able to advise and support them in the manufacturing process.
- Must have experience in this field, for 3+ years.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering design.
