Saw Operative

Plate Saw Operative – Norton Canes Temp – perm £13 per hour We are currently seeking a Plate Saw Operative for our client based in Cannock. This is a hands-on role cutting GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) materials, so any prior experience using saws—manual or powered—is highly desirable. Responsibilities: – Operating a plate saw to cut GRP plastic materials to size – Reading and interpreting basic cutting instructions or drawings – Maintaining a clean and safe working environment – Assisting with general duties on the shop floor as required – Ensuring quality and accuracy of cuts Requirements: – Previous experience using any type of saw (industrial, band, circular, plate, etc.) – Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination – Willingness to assist with other general shop floor duties – Ability to work as part of a team – Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious Desirable: – Experience cutting GRP materials or working with plastics/composites – Familiarity with workshop safety standards If you have relevant experience and are interested in this role, please send us your CV.
