Steelwork Estimator

EstimatorDoncasterMonday to Friday – 39 hours per week

Do you have a background in structural steel or bridge estimating?Are you confident producing quotes from technical drawings and liaising with Tier 1 contractors?

As a Steelwork Estimator, you will be required to:

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and BoQs to determine the project scope and opportunities
• Prepare competitive and compliant cost estimates for structural steelwork packages
• Revise and re-submit quotations following any design changes or client amendments
• Work closely with contractors, engineers, architects, and internal departments to ensure accurate project costing
• Utilise and maintain internal systems such as ABI Database and SAP CRM
• Respond to new orders by reviewing contract documents and confirming pricing, payment terms, and site requirements
• Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to assess opportunities and maximise project value
• Carry out occasional site visits; however, the role is predominantly office-based
• Assist with other reasonable tasks as requested by management

Candidate:

• 3+ years in a similar estimating or steelwork-related role
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
• Able to work independently with excellent attention to detail

Necessary Experience:

• Estimating
• Quantity surveying
• Steel fabrication or erection
• Site supervision or project delivery
• Design or planning

Project types include:

• Railway stations (Access For All schemes)
• Rail and road bridges
• Footbridges and gantries
• Lift shafts and staircases
• Platform canopies and temporary works
• Steelwork repairs and construction projects
• Subcontract packages like glazing, cladding, civils, balustrades
