Express Recruitment are delighted to be working with a global technology group who continue to grow throughout the UK. Due to the retirement of a long-standing employee, our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Technician to join their friendly, talented team at their production facility in Derbyshire.
You will be contracted to 40 hours Monday to Friday, working a 2-week rotating shift pattern, consisting of 6:00am – 2:30pm and 3pm – 11:30pm. In return, you will receive a competitive starting salary of up to £47,000 D.O.E., a summer and Christmas bonus, annual salary review, employee assistance programme and opportunities for career progression.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain plant machinery and general equipment across the site
- Oversee the daily running of two conveyorised production lines
- Perform reactive and pre-planned maintenance on PPM systems
- Diagnose faults with PLC controls and automation systems
- Adhere to scheduled PPM maintenance rota
- Troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues, along with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose electrical faults with three phase systems, sensors, alarms, control panels and lighting systems
- Work independently through technical drawings without supervision
- Undertake various engineering side projects set out by Line Manager
- Generate PPM fault and breakdown reports for shift handover
Skills & Experience
- Apprenticeship trained or HNC/HND in relevant Engineering discipline
- 18th edition qualified highly desirable
- Demonstrable fault-finding/programming experience with PLC systems, including Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi
- Confident troubleshooting abilities across a wide range of PPM systems
- Ability to work from engineering CAD drawings without supervision
- Confident working in a fast-paced production environment
- Comfortable working in an independent Maintenance Engineer role, with the ability to demonstrate initiative when tackling a range of maintenance-based tasks
- Confident working safely from heights (IPAF trained)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills on all levels
- Previous experience in the Automotive Manufacturing industry advantageous but not essential
