Opportunity:
An exciting new development has taken place here at Mattinson, a client is looking to expand their EIA team and bring in a Principal EIA Consultant at any one of their London, Bristol, Warrington or Brighton Offices. The client in question is a highly regarded company, well recognised within the industry for their top-quality technical work across multiple sectors. You’ll have the chance to work on engaging, cutting edge projects across aviation, renewable energy (solar, wind BESS and hydrogen), masterplan development and a variety of property developments. As well as like-minded professionals, you’ll have the chance to work alongside other industry professionals, such as acousticians and air quality consultants, allowing you to both demonstrate your expertise and learn new ones to incorporate into your repertoire, making you a more valuable colleague. As the new Principal EIA Consultant, you’ll be part of growing company that aims to support their employees, aiming to develop their existing skillsets and allow you to leave your mark on nature positive projects across the UK.
Responsibility:
As the new Principal EIA Consultant, you’ll be providing expert assistance with the coordination of environmental inputs for multiple large-scale developments and infrastructure. You’ll be working with other EIA Consultants and environmental specialists from beginning to end, managing each aspect of the project from design through to assessment. This will include you handling feasibility, early-stage development of strategy, outline & detailed design and discharging of conditions. The expectation will also be that at the Principal EIA Consultant, you’ll be undertaking a client facing role, liaising with both stakeholders and sub-contractors and preparing fee proposals as well as preparing and writing EIA documents and environmental reports. With offices around the UK and the role available in London, Warrington, Brighton and Bristol, you’ll be able to coordinate your efforts and achieve your goals.
Requirements:
To be considered as the next Principal EIA Consultant, a number of criteria will need to be met to join our client’s expert team. Those conditions include having at least 3 years of experience and a very strong understanding of the full EIA process as a must. On top of that, you’ll have a strong understanding of multiple environmental disciplines, be experienced with all activities associated with bid preparation, hold or be working towards chartered status with a relevant professional body (IEME or CEnv), have experience with project and line management as well as the finances/financial control associated with these duties. Experience with the DCO process is also a desirable trait that can help improve the odds of success.
