Your new company is a successful manufacturing company in Co Antrim, known for their competitive pay and benefits package. Due to new orders, they have a requirement to grow the team.
Your new role involves reporting to the Value Stream Manager. The Stitching Operator will be required to carry out a range of stitching and assembly duties on fabric sub-assemblies and assemblies to the required standards of quality and output within defined procedures and in line with customer requirements. Responsibilities include:
- Establishing job requirements from drawings, production cards or job instruction sheets.
- Stitching using industrial single, double and 4-needle machines, automatics, zigzags, CNCs, binders, overlockers, etc.
- Cutting, marking, gluing, indenting, assembling and other manual sub-assembly work.
- Packing/unpacking components to company specifications.
Hours of work are a 4-day week from 7.30am to 5.15pm.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Experience in a fabric assembly/sewing environment.
- Experience with using various types of sewing machines.
- Experience in Engineering/Manufacturing.
- Experience of working with small components.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions.
- Experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and production cards.
