Aon is currently recruiting an Executive Director, a senior level role, to join our Professional Services team in London. The Executive Director will be primarily responsible for leading the relationship and servicing of the financial lines (professional indemnity, cyber and management liability) insurance for both new and existing professional service sector clients (predominantly large accounting firms, large law firms, large consulting firms and other large miscellaneous professional service firms) by delivering the desired thought leadership, client experience and value proposition. Alongside the client service responsibilities, the role will also have day-to-day management and development responsibility for a number of Aon colleagues as well as being part of the Professional Service team leadership. The Executive Director would be based in London and report directly to the Head of Professional Services.

About the Client Role
As an Executive Director some of your key responsibilities will involve:
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients at a C-suite level.
- Develop and implement the renewal strategy and service the insurances purchased by clients.
- Responsible for being an effective leader of a client-facing team.
- Act as a role model in the business by consistently demonstrating integrity, professionalism and quality.
- Accountable for maintaining and improving client satisfaction and profitability.
- Expert knowledge, understanding and application of the Aon Client Value Creation Model.
- Responsible for client retention revenue and negotiating appropriate compensation with clients.
- Responsible for supporting the effective delivery of global service through network relationships, where appropriate.
- In conjunction with the placement team, be accountable for negotiating the best possible price and capacity using knowledge, expertise and market presence for desired cover.
- Review market submissions and presentations for new business and renewals to ensure that they effectively differentiate the client’s risk to the market.
- Ability to thoroughly understand the client, their industry and their risks and match them with potential Aon Solutions.
- Understanding of Aon products and ability to bring the full expertise and solutions to the client.
- Responsible for advising on market trends.
- Accountable and responsible for articulating the value delivered by Aon and effectively lead remuneration negotiations.
- Accountable for the development of new and existing business.
- Product development e.g. coverage design.
- Supporting the claims team on complex matters.
About the Leadership Role
This role is also a management role and working alongside the Head of Professional Services includes responsibilities for:
- Compliance with regulatory requirements including the FCA’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime as well as Aon’s business procedures.
- Planning and strategic development of the Professional Services team.
- Effectively managing, developing, mentoring and motivating a team of colleagues on a day-to-day basis.
- Professional Services P&L and budgeting.
- Monthly management reporting.
- Leading projects which are for the benefit of the Professional Services team and the clients.
- Working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies.
About you
As an Executive Director your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
- A professional qualification relevant to our client base while not essential would be an advantage.
- Experience of dealing with large professional service firms at senior management level for their financial lines insurance requirements.
- Credibility in front of professional service firm clients.
- Leadership capability and proven experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong client management relationship skills.
