Salary range: £50,000 – £65,000 PA – negotiable depending on experience and knowledge of Housing Law.

Experienced Solicitor or Caseworker sought for well-known Housing Legal Aid Team, known for a number of leading House of Lords, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal Decisions. Our client provides advice and representation in homelessness, disrepair, possession and injunction proceedings and unlawful eviction. The department has extensive experience of handling all housing related judicial review claimant matters at the High Court. We also deal with leasehold disputes and Rent Repayment Disputes.

Main Responsibilities of the Role

  • Undertaking casework in Homelessness, Possession, Injunction and Committal proceedings, Disrepair and Unlawful Eviction, leaseholder disputes.
  • Time Recording
  • Managing files in compliance with SQM requirements

Key Requirements

  • Experience in dealing with all Housing related casework
  • Knowledge of the legal aid system and a commitment to providing access to justice through legal aid.
  • Caring about vulnerable clients
  • Good written and oral communication skills and ability to work with vulnerable clients with empathy and compassion
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and experience in using legal case management systems
