Location: HYBRID WORKING - Office based from Perceval House, Ealing 2-3 days a week
Description
Key objectives of the role are:
- To lead on ensuring Corporate Health and Safety (CHS) colleagues maintain data and IT systems and be the service competent person for this aspect.
- To create communications in order to promote the service (CHS), and health and safety management systems across the Council via different mediums.
- To maintain and manage the various IT portals used by CHS including liaison with software providers.
- To design and collate report data and information for managers and staff with the aim of supporting the management on championing health, safety, fire and wellbeing across the council.
- To develop, organise and promote CHS digital content, applications, and training programmes.
- To lead for CHS in processing payments to suppliers and making internal and external charges.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for CHS enquiries - monitor the mailbox and disseminate enquiries as appropriate.
- Maintain the accident and incident and risk assessment database and produce reports and statistics as required.
- Present ideas on increasing engagement with workforce, including supporting services with meeting health and safety requirements (people).
- Work with the People, Organisation and Development (POD) service in arranging face-to-face/on-line training courses as requested and to maintain records.
- Maintain and update as required the health and safety and workforce and OD's corporate webpages with documents, forms, and information.
Experience / knowledge:
- Demonstrable customer care experience - in person, written or by phone.
- Proven ability working in the development and use of software including Word, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, AI (Copilot), Excel and PowerPoint and able to support the service as required.
- Experience in research data analysis to support services.
- Experience of report writing, including data analysis and presentation to suit the needs of the audience.
- Experience in implementing change (new systems and processes) and staff buy-in.
- Well-developed digital, analytical and verbal presentation skills.
