Our client, with its head office in Germany and branches in the UK, South Africa, Nigeria, Canada, Chile, Kenya, and Rwanda, develops, designs, assembles, and operates solar power systems as ground-mount and rooftop installations. Their office in London has the following vacancy, with employment to start as soon as possible:
Role Overview
The technical team of our client provides support across numerous key areas of their business activities. As a senior engineer, the role will involve providing detailed technical support to the engineering departments and developing technical expertise in the renewable energy field, with a focus on co-located solar and energy storage projects throughout Europe and Africa.
It is their goal to operate according to international best practice guidelines, provide company-wide technical support, and support the continual improvement of their business.
Duties Will Include:
- Electrical and Mechanical Design and Specification
- Management of Engineering Deliverables
- Low and Medium Voltage Design
- Regulatory Compliance
- SAT and FAT Compliance
- CAD Design, SCADA Design
- Electrical Protection Specification
- Tenders and Proposals
- Earthing System Design and Specification
- SCADA Design and Specification
General:
- Adhering to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 processes
- Any other company requirements as and when needed

Profile / Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering Graduate
- Strong multi-skilled individual with attention to detail
- 5 years’ experience in the design and delivery of Solar PV and Energy Storage projects (desired but not essential)
- Superb numerical and analytical skills
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Full UK Driving License
- Willingness to travel in Europe and Africa
- Experience with international IEC standards is beneficial
- Experience with AutoCAD, PVSyst, DigSilent, and Homer
- Medium voltage and protection coordination experience is beneficial
- Ability to work independently and be a teamwork advocate
