We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced office Administrator to work for our dynamic and growing client based in Hoddesdon. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality, practical solutions for their clients while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. They are currently seeking a proactive, organised, and dependable Office Administrator to help keep their operations running smoothly.
The role is a full-time permanent position working onsite in Hoddesdon from 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday but our client would also consider part-time hours (i.e. 9am – 3pm Monday – Friday) for the right candidate. This role offers a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience (pro rata for part-time hours).
Candidates must have a good level of admin experience as the role involves managing all administrative duties within the office by supporting the Directors and providing admin support for engineers and sub-contractors. The Office Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day administrative operations of the office. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied workload and can manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. You’ll support both the management and engineering teams, handling everything from reception/customer service duties to admin support.
Key Responsibilities:- Answer incoming calls, and manage general email correspondence
- Maintain and organise office supplies, equipment, and inventory
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Assist with basic invoicing, expense tracking, petty cash accounting duties
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and staff travel arrangements
- Manage fleet of vehicles including MOT’s and general servicing
- Maintain digital and physical filing systems, including project and client records
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation for projects
- Liaise with vendors, clients, and service providers as needed
- Ensure the office is clean, tidy, and well-presented
- Perform other administrative tasks as required by the team
- Proven experience in an administrative or office support role essential
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Microsoft OneDrive
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Familiarity with engineering terminology or project workflows is a bonus but not required
