As an Account Director at Manning Gottlieb OMD, you will play a leading role on the QuickBooks business, helping drive great work and business success. This role is an opportunity to work on one of the largest and most important accounts within the agency.

Intuit is a $100bn+ American fintech business that provides software and services that enable small and medium sized businesses to thrive. Within Intuit, QuickBooks provides software solutions for effective financial management of businesses, including tax returns, invoicing, payments, payroll and timesheets.

Our activity is focused on reaching two key audiences – firstly, Small Businesses and Self-Employed and secondly, Accountants. This role operates across both strands but with a focus on the SMB and self-employed side. The QuickBooks business runs full-funnel, multi-media campaigns from brand through to performance, so this is a great opportunity to make a significant positive impact and gain experience across a breadth of different areas!

The client team across the Intuit QuickBooks business includes two Business Directors, two Account Directors (including this role), a Manager, two Senior Execs, and offshore Assistant roles. The more junior roles will report directly on specific projects and need coordinating to deliver excellence in client service and planning, so managerial experience is preferable.

The successful candidate will be passionate about media, data-led planning, continually testing & innovating, and delivering great client service.

The candidate should have a good grounding in the media industry with experience in handling fast-moving clients and the ability to juggle many projects. Therefore, organisational and analytical ability is key. This role would be well-suited to a strong and well-established account manager looking to take the next step in their career.

Specific skills:

  • Project management
  • Ability to influence clients through all verbal and written communication
  • Use understanding of clients’ business to drive conversations with senior clients and media owners, as well as internal SBU’s (Specialist Business Units)

  • Create benchmarks for the quality of work delivered by you and your team
  • Ensure your team and your own deadlines are met and you manage expectations
  • Identify any issues and resolve them, demonstrating good problem-solving skills
  • Be approachable and supportive to the team
  • Coach and nurture your team, deliver a positive appraisal experience, spot talent, and develop all appropriately
  • Encourage regular feedback within the team, both positive and constructive
  • Demonstrate effective delegation
  • Strong time management skills
  • Fine eye for detail
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills
