Our client is a trusted and nationally recognised company specialising within the commercial and domestic sector. As demand grows, we are looking for an additional experienced Refrigeration Engineer to cover Somerset and the surrounding region. Your Role:
You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of refrigeration systems within supermarkets and large retail stores. This is a mobile role, requiring travel between sites, dealing with both planned and reactive maintenance.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Service and maintain commercial refrigeration systems (packs, display cases, cold rooms, etc.)
- Respond to reactive breakdowns and carry out fault diagnosis
- Support system upgrades and install new refrigeration plant as needed
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety and environmental standards
- Provide detailed job reports and communicate clearly with customers
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota (paid additionally)
What You Will Need:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential)
- Experience working on supermarket refrigeration systems (e.g. CO2 packs, remote cases, cold rooms)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first attitude
- Flexibility to cover call-outs on a rota basis
