About our client
Our client is an independent, London-based private equity firm that invests in management buyouts across the UK lower mid-market. They have a long and successful track record investing up to £20m in UK based SMEs, partnering with founders and management teams to grow and develop businesses into larger, higher quality, market or sector-leading companies.
Their experienced and dynamic team are all based in London, although they invest right across the UK. With a growing portfolio and active deal pipeline, they are looking to add ambitious, high-quality individuals to their investment team who have proven financial and analytical skills and transaction experience in our market segment in the UK. What the job involves
- Working as part of the investment team to source, evaluate and present potential investments
- Supporting their team to implement the investment process: financial modelling, due diligence, negotiation, and execution
- Taking specific responsibility for workstreams on transactions
- Preparing detailed investment papers detailing the investment case
- Working closely with their portfolio assets post-investment
Who we are looking for
- Transactional experience in their market segment either from within the private equity industry; corporate finance or transaction support/FDD in an accounting firm
- Top academic credentials and professional qualifications (ACA or equivalent qualification desirable)
- Excellent commercial acumen to understand markets and businesses; and strong analytical skills including financial modelling experience
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills which enable you to build rapport with management teams and colleagues
- An ability to thrive in a small entrepreneurial team environment
