Rullion are looking to recruit for one of our global leading energy clients : Procurement Specialist/Commodity Manager Inside IR35 £35+ Per hour ASAP Start 6 months initially Location : Warwick , UK Hybrid Model – 2 days minimum a week in the office Job Description Discover a great opportunity within our Clients Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Procurement team, where they champion productivity, quality, and digital innovation to redefine clean energy solutions. As a seasoned Procurement professional, you’ll lead critical initiatives and orchestrate negotiations to secure optimal contracts. Your role involves cultivating robust supplier relationships, analyzing market dynamics, and driving cost-saving measures. Collaborating closely with customers, you’ll ensure alignment with evolving needs while spearheading performance enhancements. Join our diverse team and shape the future of sustainable procurement in the energy sector. Role – Plan negotiations, define awarding strategy and prepare sourcing board approvals, respecting the suppliers defined by the commodity strategy, to enable pooling potential – Negotiate local, regional, or multi-site contracts in conjunction with relevant procurement managers, or independently. This includes negotiating prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms, among other specifics. – Contribute to EcoSystem commodity strategy, and develop a business listing of preferred suppliers – Manage the relationship with assigned suppliers (in alignment with CM/GCM when applicable) – Support and maintain supplier segmentation of the relevant supply base via actively representing the Customer view in Commodity Circles – Analyse local and regional market trends and their utilization in commodity strategy – Identify customer requirements and supports the execution process, providing input into the sourcing process. – Monitor supplier performance and inform relevant customers about this performance – Generates, documents and implement savings measures; monitor and reports relevant KPIs. – Drive early procurement / supplier involvement and cost-out activities. – Identify procurement risks and opportunities and implement respective measures – Identify potential contractual items and liaises (if relevant) with the strategic commodity management to ensure such items are added to existing contracts or appropriate contracts are established – Implement Commodity Strategies and define local/regional material field strategy for non-pooled commodities WHAT YOU BRING – Experience working in a complex, constantly evolving global organisational environment. – 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing/commodity management. – Outstanding Excel skills. – Outstanding communication, presentation, and customer management skills. – Excellent commercial, contractual, and project management competence. – Familiarity with component Manufacturing processes and Quality – Knowledge of working with a global supplier base, in a matrix environment. – Bachalors’ degree or Masters Degree desireable but not essential You must have experience negotiating multimillion pounds contracts; experience developing (not only implementing) commodity strategy; strong in excel.
