Are you an experienced Solar PV Estimator looking to work on high-impact renewable energy projects? TQR is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading name in the renewable energy sector, known for delivering large-scale solar PV systems across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking team working on rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects up to 70MW. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Reviewing project plans, specifications, and site assessments for rooftop and ground-mount PV systems.
- Preparing accurate cost estimates covering materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborating with engineering and project teams to develop optimal system layouts and bills of materials.
- Conducting site visits (where required) to assess project-specific conditions.
- Sourcing and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes.
- Supporting business development and sales teams with technical input and bid documentation.
- Producing client-facing proposals and tender submissions.
- Maintaining up-to-date cost databases and estimation tools.
- Contributing to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
- Staying informed on industry trends, codes, and innovations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or similar.
- 3–5 years’ experience in solar PV estimation, ideally including large-scale systems.
- Proficiency with PV design and estimating tools (e.g., Helioscope, PVsyst, AutoCAD, Excel).
- Strong understanding of electrical and civil construction practices.
- Desirable: Experience with BESS, PPA models, and financial modelling.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates independently.
- NABCEP certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Knowledge of permitting and utility interconnection processes.
