Based in Marlborough – Hybrid working with flexible working hours. Basic Salary - £60,000 up to £80,000 depending on experience, 34 days holidays, pension. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly established solicitors who are seeking a motivated and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join their team where you can develop your career within a supportive environment.
As a Private Client Solicitor, the successful candidate will have a proven history in private client work and a passion for delivering excellent service to a range of primarily farming and land-owning clients. You will have a professional and approachable demeanour along with an empathetic approach to dealing with clients during challenging times. You will be proactive by nature, self-motivated with a drive to achieve excellent outcomes and adaptable to embrace new challenges and opportunities.
Candidate Skills
- Hold a Law Degree / CILEX, LCP/SQE, SRA Practising Certificate.
- You will be a qualified Solicitor with a Practising Certificate in England and Wales with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in private client work.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislations including wills, trusts, probate, and tax law.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with legal technology and case management software.
- Able to supervise Paralegals and/or trainees as required.
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
Duties
- Managing a varied caseload of private client matters, including but not limited to: Drafting Wills, Estate Planning, Trust Creation and Administration, Probate and Estate Administration, Powers of Attorney, Tax planning.
- Able to provide clear and tailored advice to clients, ensuring an elevated level of client care and satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery across the firm.
- Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and best practices in private client law.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and professional standards.
