Job Title: Head of Operations
Location: Commutable from Watford, North London, Dagenham, Enfield, Barking
Salary: c£80,000 – £90,000 DOE plus benefits
Overview: An innovative Food Manufacturer with a heavily invested site, state of the art machinery and a real emphasis on strategic planning and productivity.
You will need to have previous responsibility for P&L in a food manufacturing business. The CEO will expect you to know how different processes within the factory impact business costs. You will need to give examples of this in the interview process.
If successful in this role, there is a real chance for you to climb the ladder and potentially become a member of the board.
The Candidate:
- Proven Leadership skills in a Food Manufacturing environment, preferably with experience of managing different departments including engineering, hygiene and production.
- Financial tracking and understanding are a must.
- Track record of delivering strategic projects and managing costs effectively.
- Capable of working cross functionally and bringing departments together.
- Effective communicator with all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Ability to deal with complexity and change, prioritise effectively, and deliver within short timescales.

The Role:
- As Head of Operations, you will have direct responsibility for the day to day running of the plant and facilities.
- Report to the Managing Director with a dotted line to the CEO.
- Managing costs and spends across the factory.
- You will develop and maintain a continuous improvement culture.
- Implement improvements to existing practices to improve efficiency, waste reduction, people performance and machinery reliability.
- You will manage teams across operations, engineering, production and warehousing.
- Ensure all food products are manufactured to the required product safety and quality standards, safely and on time.
- Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide feedback to enhance employee productivity and morale.
