We've partnered with a top 20 financial services institution globally in their search for a Sanctions & Financial Crime Lawyer to join their growing team. Hybrid working in central London, you'll advise a variety of stakeholders on the impact of sanctions regimes in relation to corporate strategy and risk appetite framework.
Providing a variety of services across commercial & investment banking, asset management, and leasing, the organisation has a strong international presence and focus on innovation and sustainability. They are known for their strong internal culture promoting DE&I alongside their commitment to supporting global and economic development while serving corporate, institutional, and retail clients.
Your day to day would include:
- Heading up the Sanctions & Financial Crime work, including advising a variety of stakeholders on the impact of sanctions regimes in relation to corporate strategy and risk appetite framework.
- Working internationally across the UK & EMEA.
- Collaborating with the wider sanctions, compliance, and legal teams across the UK, US, and EU.
- Managing external counsel.

The successful candidate will:
- Be 6+ PQE Lawyer with experience heading up a variety of financial sanctions matters, ideally with additional financial crime work.
- Have the ability to commute into London on a hybrid basis (2 - 3 days per week).
- Want to work internationally across the UK and EMEA.
- Have experience managing external counsel and working with a variety of senior stakeholders.
Job Offer:
- Hybrid working in central London.
- Base salary up to £140,000 depending on candidate experience.
