Springfields in Spalding is a major outlet shopping and leisure destination, offering a mix of retail, dining, and entertainment. We are looking for a part-time maintenance worker to help out around the centre with smaller jobs that can be done in house. This ranges from some cleaning works, painting and decorating to a bit of general DIY. There will be work involving working at height on ladders. Hours are flexible but in the main will be 3 days a week for 18 hours. Some weekend work and overtime is required at times. The role is perfect for someone seeking a local part-time job that involves a variety of different tasks to keep you busy.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing minor plumbing repairs such as fixing dripping taps or running toilet cisterns
- Performing basic carpentry work
- Painting and decorating. Repairing walls and other surfaces. Replacing fixtures and fittings
- Removing fallen branches or other parts of the landscaping
- Completing simple projects such as tiling or other flooring fixes
- Clearing gutters and maintaining property exteriors
- Cleaning windows and other surfaces
- Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Any other tasks as required by the Centre
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Good communication and customer service skills. This is a people facing role
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience of working around commercial or residential buildings
- Working in a similar role or industry
- Some skills with power tools is desirable
