Zest Education is proud to be working in partnership with a high-achieving independent school in West London with a unique specialism in the performing arts. We are recruiting for an experienced SENDCo to join their team from September 2025.
The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEND professional to lead and shape inclusive practice in a vibrant and creative school community. As SENDCo, you will be responsible for the strategic development of the school's SEND provision, ensuring it meets the needs of a diverse student population and aligns with current legislation and best practice.
You will lead a small, focused Learning Support team, oversee the delivery of targeted interventions, and work collaboratively with academic and vocational staff to ensure every student receives the individualised support they need to flourish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school's SEND strategy
- Line-manage the Learning Support team and coordinate high-quality interventions
- Work closely with teachers, families, and external agencies to support students' academic and emotional progress
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and maintain robust record-keeping
- Promote a whole-school approach to inclusion and celebrate neurodiversity
- Assess students for specific learning needs and oversee the implementation of individual support plans
- Provide training, guidance, and resources to staff on best practices in adaptive teaching
About You:
We are looking for a dedicated SENDCo who is passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive. You should be an excellent communicator with a collaborative approach, capable of building trusted relationships with students, staff, and families alike.
You will bring:
- A relevant SEND qualification (or a willingness to work towards one)

- Experience supporting students in both academic and creative/vocational contexts is highly desirable
