We are hiring an experienced engineer for a residential groundwork company, who have a great reputation and are renowned for their commitment to safety.
Duties include:
- Setting out on site
- Project Planning & Coordination
- Coordination with Subcontractors: Ensure that subcontractors are provided with the necessary information and materials to carry out their work on time. Liaise between the subcontractors.
- Supervision & Management
- Site Supervision: Supervise the day-to-day activities of subcontractors and direct labour to ensure compliance with the project schedule, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Site Activities Monitoring: Monitor and report on the progress of work being executed by subcontractors, addressing any delays or issues in real time.
- Quality Control & Assurance
- Material and Work Quality Check: Inspect the quality of work performed by subcontractors and ensure that materials are of the required standard and are being used properly.
- Compliance with Specifications: Ensure that all work done by subcontractors or direct labour is in accordance with the contract specifications.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Management
- Safety Standards Compliance: Ensure all subcontractor activities are in compliance with the company's health and safety policies and relevant legal requirements.
- Safety Audits and Risk Assessment: Conduct periodic safety audits and risk assessments of the worksite and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Experience working with road infrastructure, drainage, earthworks and as builts is essential.
