RW Armstrong is a family business with over 65 years’ experience working on some of the finest properties in the South of England. Our London division undertakes the refurbishment and new build of high-end residential properties of up to £20m in value.
Responsibilities
- Understand complex, technical project information and demonstrate effective principles of planning and programming.
- Manage a large team including an Assistant, Section and some Subcontractor Managers to enable them to deliver work of the highest standard.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of SHE and ensure that sites are managed in accordance with complex requirements.
- Have an awareness of contractual issues that impact on site-based activity.
- Be proactive and professional in all dealings with the wider team, the client and their representatives.

Knowledge and Expertise Required
- Manage your team in line with HR (Human Resources) policies and the Company values.
- Be wholly responsible for all activities on site related to the project, demonstrating initiative and self-reliance.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to Assistant, Section, Finishing and/or Subcontractor managers, monitor their performance, and address any issues promptly and effectively.
- Manage your time effectively to deal with substantial project documentation and manage assistants and supervisors, inspect the quality of work, and attend professional meetings.
- Contribute proactively to project meetings and project strategy.
- Evident self-learning and ongoing CPD in the development of skills and knowledge.
